Domaine Rampale Fuveau, Provence, France
This small hotel is like an oasis in the heart of Provence, tucked away in its own natural parkland, with views of the Sainte Victoire mountains. It consists of several buildings with sun-drenched terraces, gardens filled with fragrant plants, olive and fig trees, a petanque field, and a large swimming pool surrounded in pines.
Interiors are sleek and contemporary with strong, sharp lines. We love the feeling of space throughout the property – from the expansive gardens to the large living area and generously-sized rooms.
There are plenty of different rooms to choose from. The hotel is made up of a villa with three double rooms and two suites, as well as two separate Lodges. Of the rooms, La Lauriette and La Romarine are adjoining, and both have a walk-in shower. La Fenouillette has a shower and bath, as well as an elegant, outdoor terrace. The two suites, L’Olivette and La Gariguette, have bathrooms with showers and baths, as well as private lounges. The latter has a south-facing terrace. The two Lodges, La Lavandine and La Sarriette, have private terraces and gardens, bathrooms with walk-in showers and tubs, fully-equipped kitchens, king-sized beds, and convertible sofas.
This luxury boutique hotel in Provence is a great secluded space for all kinds of groups: couples, families and even large parties. It also caters for events.
The restaurant serves locally-grown, organic food, using ingredients from the kitchen garden and recipes that reflect its Provençal culinary heritage. Continental and full English breakfast are included in the price of the rooms and suites, and served in the dining room or outside on the terrace (weather permitting). There is also a lounge bar that serves breakfast, snacks, tea, drinks and supper. Services available include essential oil massages, Japanese face massage and reflexology. All rooms have towels and bed linen from by Alexandre Turpault, flat-screen TVs, wifi, air conditioning, and L’Occitane beauty products. Baby equipment is available on demand. The two Lodges have kitchens with induction cooking plates, ovens, microwaves, coffee makers, kettles, and plancha. All have a washing machine and dryer.
Fuveau is a commune in the Bouches-du-Rhône department in the south of France. It’s in the heart of the Vallee de l’Arc, at the foot of the mountain Sainte Victoire. It’s a charming, typically Provençal village perché, with steep alleyways and a dramatic neo-Gothic church. Points of interest include the Musée provençal des transports, or transport museum, and there are a variety of local markets in Fuveau itself, and farther afield.
